About Agriculture

Institute of Agriculture, at SAGE University, Indore came into existence during July, 2017 to give the much needed impetus for Agricultural development in Malwa region of the State through Agricultural Education, Research and rapid transfer of improved technologies related to crop production and animal management.Indeed, establishment of a Faculty of Agriculture devoted to higher learning exclusively in Agriculture and Animal Sciences was aimed to transform State’s traditional subsistence Agriculture scenario into modern scientifically oriented production system.

 

Institute of Agriculture has following objectives:-

 

  • To impart Agricultural Education.
  • To carry out location-specific research.
  • To transfer potential and beneficial technologies to the farmers for adoption to raise their income.

Courses

Laboratories 

Institute of Agriculture has well equipped laboratories in each subject. Our Soil Science laboratory is one of the State-of-Art laboratory. Other modern laboratories like Agronomy and Horticulture are provide very good support to Research besides practical classes to the students.

Research 

In a short period the Institute of Agriculture has established its Research Potential by developing a Red coloured radish which has got anti-cancer medicinal properties. The institute is in the process of obtaining Patent for it.
