About Course

As the name itself suggests, mechanical engineering mainly relates to machines and mechanics in the broadest sense of the term. Since machines are involved in literally all aspects of human life right from very basic domestic machines to complicated automated machines in big industries, it is not surprising that there are several arms of mechanical engineering which deal with different perspectives of the area like Production,Thermal,Design & Automobile.It aims To educate students how to apply mechanical engineering design theory to identify and quantify machine elements in the design of commonly used mechanical systems.

Admission Rules

Most institutes offering the course admit students based on performance in a relevant entrance test.
Admission process generally varies across colleges. A few institutes also provide direct admission based
on the candidate’s performance at the 10th level.

Eligibility

After 10th:
Successful qualification of class X, with a minimum aggregate score of 55%, with any of:
ITI certificate
Certificate in Motorcycle Service and Repair (CMSR)
After 12th:
Successful qualification of class XII with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as main subjects, and a
minimum aggregate score of 50% (45% for SC/ST/OBC candidates).
