Q3. What is/are the eligibility criteria of the course(s) offered ?

Answer: For Undergraduate courses: Minimum 60% marks in Std. & aggregate 60% marks in XII Std. with minimum  60% in Physics Chemistry & Maths.

 

For Postgraduate courses: Minimum 55% marks BE/B.Tech or equivalent in Computer Science & Engg, Information Technology , EC or MCA.GATE/NET qualified students shall be preferred.

 

For PhD in advance computing: Minimum 55% marks or CGPA not less than 6 on a scale of 10 in regular M.E./M.Tech/MCA Degree (Not distance or any other mode) of a University or equivalent. GATE/NET qualified students shall be preferred.

Answer: Artificial Intelligence (AI):

Artificial Intelligence is a well-established exciting specialization of Advance Computing concerned with methods to make computers or machines intelligent, so that they are able to learn from experience to derive implicit knowledge from the one given and to understand natural languages to determine the content of images to work collaboratively. Artificial Intelligence (AI) degree Program has seen an exponential growth in the last few years. It is fuelled by the explosion in the use of Internet, extensive penetration of smart phones, increasing use of online services, social media, e-banking and increasing incidents on Human workload.

 

Cyber Security and Forensics:

Cyber security is the practice of defending computers, servers, mobile devices, electronic systems, networks, and data from malicious attacks. It’s also known as information technology security or electronic information security. Cyber security and forensics specialization delivers cutting-edge knowledge about the trending areas of cyber security & Digital Forensic to enable students to design, build, migrate and manage highly scalable and secure computing solutions to meet business needs of industry verticals. Forensics is a branch of digital forensic science pertaining to legal evidence found in cyberspace and digital storage media. Cyber security degree programs are recognized by industry and government entities alike for their ability to help generate the future innovators of the cyber security industry. In today’s world we need leaders with mastery in ethical hacking and uphold the highest industry standard of integrity in our quickly evolving world of cyber security tech and online security.

 

Data Science:

Data science is an inter-disciplinary field that uses scientific methods, processes, algorithms and systems to extract knowledge and insights from many structural and unstructured data. The advent of the internet has expanded the digital technology landscape. Our every action on the internet leaves a footprint in digital form. This has completely transformed the business world at a rapid speed. There is a massive explosion of data on daily basis, which is helping organizations to monitor the behaviour of their customers. As a result, organizations are giving more prominence for extracting valuable insights from the information available and the responsibility is mainly handled by Data Scientists/Engineers. It has generated an enormous scale of job opportunities for Data scientists/Engineers in the market.

 

Cloud Computing:

Cloud computing the practice of using a network of remote servers hosted on the Internet to store, manage, and process data, rather than a local server or a personal computer. Cloud computing services cover a vast range of options now, from the basics of storage, networking, and processing power through to natural language processing and artificial intelligence as well as standard office applications. Pretty much any service that doesn’t require you to be physically close to the computer hardware that you are using can now be delivered via the cloud.Building the infrastructure to support cloud computing now accounts for more than one third of all IT spending worldwide, according to a research from IDC. Meanwhile spending on traditional, in-house IT continues to slide as computing workloads continue to move to the cloud, whether that is public cloud services offered by vendors or private clouds built by enterprises themselves. 451 Research predicts that around one-third of enterprise IT spending will be on hosting and cloud services in coming years “indicating a growing reliance on external sources of infrastructure, application, management and security services”.

Q6. What do you mean by PBL (Project Based Learning)?

Answer: Project based learning or skill based learning is a major education policy of institute of Advance computing at SAGE University. It means that our degree programs are designed to focus more on the practical side of a course rather than only theoretical studies. Theoretical classes are accompanied by longer practical sessions to understand the practical use of technology in day to day life. Our curriculum requires the students to prepare a project related to the relevant topics of all the courses, under the guidance of faculty so that students may understand the course concepts easily by actually working on them practically. Lab work and project work is given more time and resources instead of only classroom learning. Each subject is project oriented and the focus of students is to make innovative projects related to the topics in the subject. Answer: At the Institute of advance computing, we offer degrees in the advanced specialized streams of computer science, information and communication technology. Generally after doing BTech in traditional computer science engineering, one has to go for an advanced degree or diploma in order to learn in detail about the advanced topics that we offer at IAC. Answer: Average package offered by the industries in the modern fields of data science, AI, Cyber security and Cloud computing is Rs. 600,000 to Rs. 800,000 per annum for just pass out engineers and with 5 years experience in the above fields, the average salary is increased to Rs. 100,000 to Rs. 150,000 per annum.

Answer: Although we leave no weaknesses in our institute because the types of courses we offer are so advanced that it is sometimes very difficult to hire a professor for certain industry based courses. This approach helps our students in making a strong academic background based on industry exposure, which in turn helps in their placement.

Answer: Institute of Advance computing has successfully delivered online classes to all our students during the lockdown period due to the Corona pandemic. We have managed to attain 90% student attendance during the lockdown period. All the faculties took online classes on zoom meeting classroom and completed the syllabus on time. We have used platforms like Google group and Google forms to conduct online examinations. We gave regular assignments and quizzes to our students and our faculties were actively involved with the students round the clock. All our courses are running smoothly even during these difficult times.

Answer: The Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) is a compulsory course offered in Vital Semester to B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture students primarily to understand the rural situations, status of Agricultural technologies adopted by farmers, prioritize the farmer’s problems and to develop skills & attitude of working with farm families for all-round development in rural area.

Answer: As per COA Rule one must be NATA Qualified or should qualify JEE 2nd Paper of Architecture. He/she must be from PCM Stream only. There is no provision for commerce students
