AC & ABC MANAGE
The Indian Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, in partnership with NABARD, has launched a program encouraging Agriculture Graduates to establish Agri Clinics or Agri Business Centres. Regardless of employment status, graduates can undergo a free 45-day training program covering Entrepreneurship, Business Management, and specialized skills. After training, graduates can apply and are handholded for start-up loans ranging from Rs. 20 lakhs to Rs. 100 lakhs to fund their projects. Agri Business Centres offer paid services such as crop selection advice, farming best practices, market trends, and credit access. However, loan approval depends on the project's techno-economic viability, determined by individual banks adhering to RBI norms. This initiative empowers graduates to become consultants, aiding farmers and enhancing agricultural practices, thereby contributing significantly to the sector's growth.
At SAGE, Institute of Agriculture Sciences, this premiere program has been conducted since 2018 with successfully training 5 batches of Agripreneurs. The institute boasts of more than 50% success rate in this program. The highlights are in the clips and videos in this webpage.
