The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at SAGE University Indore has been producing high quality technical manpower needed by industry, with an Intake of 60.
The academic activities of the department emphasize deep understanding of fundamental principles, development of creative ability to handle the challenge of electronics and communication engineering, and the analytical ability to solve problems which are interdisciplinary in nature.
Department also provides technical guidelines for the benefits of students and entrepreneurs by organizing short-term courses, certificate-oriented training programs like PCB design, IOT, MATLAB, SCADA and PLC etc under Winter/Summer school concept, seminars, academic/industrial guest lectures, national level workshops.
Department is equipped with number of doctorates in various specializations like (VLSI, Image Processing, Microprocessor & Microcontroller and Power Electronics) and others are in procession. departmental staff was associated with various professional societies like IETE, ISTE, IEEE e.t.c. Staffs are trained in various faculty development programs and always motivated to be a centre of excellence in teaching field.
Department is generous in giving auxiliary assistance to students in a practical way by having MoU’s with various reputed institutes, consultancies and NGO’s. The department has Established IETE student forum Under these auspicious professional societies, department organizes expert lectures, group discussions, competitions and other activities for the all-round development of the electronics and communication engineering students. Department encourage students to participate in university activities like SAC, SSA, SAGE Foundation and Co-curriculum activities.
In Electronics and Communications Engineering there is blend of technology and over all development of students through certified skill development courses in each year related to students’ interest. Electronics engineering uses the study of electrons and its behaviour to develop the equipment that use electricity as source of power. It is also conceptualized on broadcast systems.
This discipline of engineering covers electronic devices and circuits, digital electronics, network analysis, digital signal processing, wireless communications, microprocessors & microcontroller, solid-state devices, analogue and digital communication, antenna and wave propagation. All subjects are in-depth taught along with practical exposure like introduction of electronic devices in which designing, construction, implementation, testing of different types of electronic systems involved in laboratory as well as using hands on training.
The aim of the department is to give the practical knowledge to the students and also oriented to the industry requirements. The department focus on the overall development of the student in every field like communication skill, personality development and the technical knowledge. Most of the faculty of department are highly trained and highly qualified as PhD and have knowledge in research and development. Faculties always update their profile by paper publications, research projects, membership in technical society, fellowship and awards.
EC department has well equipped laboratories of microelectronics, optical communication, digital electronics, software lab, antenna lab, micro-processor and microcontroller, Instrumentation lab and Major project lab. In these laboratories students get the thorough and practical knowledge of various subjects.
1 -::- MOOC’ s A Massive Open Online Courses are offered to Students For Earning Extra Credits
2 -::- Faculty & students are encouraged To opt for swayam courses to improve their technicalities and get certified by swayam.
3 -::- Every year students are offered with at least one value addition course (VAC). This is a certified course conducted by industry expert in the university campus.
4 -::- Through innovation next we encourage students and faculties to take up entrepreneurship through various support systems.
5 -::- Rural outreach program are conducted for students for social and environmental awareness.
6 -::- Industrial tie-ups are done through MOUs for giving students experience and exposed to industrial work culture.
7 -::- Regullar industrial visits are carried out for the students to expose to latest trend and technology
8 -::- Technical tech fest “JUNK YARD” is organized to motivate students to recycle electronics junk.
9 -::- Inter college tech fest is organized to complete with students across the country in event like ‘ROBO RACE” ,”ROBO –WAR” ,”SOLAR PRODUCT” and many more.
Greetings & a Warm Welcome to the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering!!!
Electronics and communication engineering is a dynamic and exciting area that provides excellent career opportunities in various areas of technology. We enriched student participation across various National and International platforms like SMART INDIA HACKATHON, Swadeshi Microprocessor Challenge, KPIT Sparkle, e-YANTRA and various similar platforms. Simultaneously we also provide in-house platforms like International Conference, National Level Final Year Project Competition (Innovation Idea), Intra Department Project Competition and many such platforms for our students to showcase their technical, managerial, research and application skills. Our students were runner up in SMART INDIA HACKATHON-2020. So, the road map for such an illustrious career is continuously refined with joint efforts put-up by our hard and smart working Students, experienced faculty and rich Alumni from time to time. We strive to train and empower our students who will make the world a better place by using the power of engineering principles, techniques and systems.
Lastly, I would say that “Success is not how high you have climbed, but how you make a positive difference to the world” in the Years of study at the Dept. of Electronics Engineering, SAGE University, Indore
