Overview of Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering is the most diverse and versatile of the engineering disciplines. Mechanical Professionals are not only limited to the traditional industries of aerospace, automotive, Power plant, Maintenance, Textile, Oil sector and manufacturing, but also employed extensively in important emerging areas, such as nuclear technology, robotics, mechatronics, nano technology, biomedical technology and non-conventional energy systems.

The syllabus of Mechanical Engineering, SAGE University is design based on latest technology of present scenario. It includes Practical learning which is integrated into the curriculum through projects and by providing an opportunity for summer internship with national and international University and industry to solve engineering and scientific problems. Furthermore, our students acquire valuable skills in creative thinking, critical analysis and teamwork, which are highly sought after in any engineering industry, consulting and management.

Students of Mechanical Engineering participate in national events like TIFAN where Vehicle is designed and Fabricated for utilization in agriculture sector. Also students represent the department and SAGE University in National and international sports activities like Mixed Martial Arts and Cycling.

Industry Exposure & Training

The Mechanical Engineering Department regularly organizes industrial visits and training programs to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and real-world applications. Visits are arranged at industries like CASE Constructions, Shakti Pumps, VE Commercials, CANTHUS Refrigeration

These visits offer students first-hand exposure to manufacturing processes, production systems, quality control techniques, and the latest technologies used in industries. In addition, the department arranges short-term in-plant training and internships to help students develop technical skills, professional behavior, and industry-readiness.
