Program Overview

This program focuses on advanced crop management practices, sustainable farming systems, and soil–plant relationships. Students are trained in modern agronomic technologies to enhance agricultural productivity while effectively addressing challenges related to climate change and sustainability.

Course Objectives

  •  To impart advanced knowledge of crop production principles, agronomic practices, and resource management under diverse agro-ecological conditions.
  •  To develop expertise in soil–water–nutrient–crop interactions for enhancing productivity and sustainability.
  •  To train students in modern agronomic research techniques, experimental design, and statistical analysis.
  •  To enhance skills in cropping systems, weed management, and precision agriculture.
  •  To promote understanding of climate-resilient and sustainable agronomic practices.
  •  To develop competence in integrated nutrient, water, and weed management strategies.

Eligibility

  • B.Sc. Ag. or B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Candidates must have completed their graduation from a recognized university or institution.
  • Admission may be granted based on CET / ICAR / University entrance examination norms.
  • Reserved category candidates may receive relaxation in minimum qualifying marks as per university or government rules.
  • Final year students awaiting results may also apply, subject to fulfillment of eligibility criteria at the time of admission.
