M.A.(Hons.) History

The M.A. in History is a four-semester, two-year master’s degree program. It covers historical perspectives as well as contemporary perspectives. Topics covered include behaviors, traditions, narratives, cultures, languages, arts, and more. The MA History syllabus includes subjects like Ancient India, Medieval India, Modern India, World History, Indian government and politics, Literature, Economic History, Contemporary issues in international relations, etc. Candidates who want to pursue this course should have a bachelor's degree in history or any other related field with a good score. Admissions are also done through top entrance exams in some colleges.

• Candidates should have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
• The qualifying degree should preferably be in History or related disciplines.
• There is no age limit for admission to the M.A. History program.
• Candidates must qualify and fulfill the cutoff criteria of the SAGE University Entrance Examination.
