Agribusiness is an area of commerce that involves the processing, warehousing, distribution, marketing and retailing of the products used in agriculture. All the activities ranging from farm planning to getting the food to the table are a part of Agribusiness. Food Production Farming sectors, Public & Private Sector, Marketing & retail sectors hire professionals with MBA degrees. MBA professionals from this stream can get placed as research analysts and marketing managers, as well as Food Retailing is another sector that offers a gamut of career opportunities.


PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSO)

PSO1. Develop an understanding with theoretical principles of management, its functions, and its practical applications in Agri Businesses.

PSO2. Exclusive practice based learning by understanding areas like agriculture input, food processing, farm management, food technology, Agri supply chain, Agri retail and allied sectors.

PSO3. Foster analytical and critical thinking for evidence-based decision making for agricultural issues.

PSO4. Ability to comprehend, analyze and communicate global, economic, legal and ethical aspects of agriculture management and business.

PSO5. Competent to lead themselves and others in the achievement of organizational goals, contributing effectively to a team environment in agribusiness sector.


ELIGIBILITY

  •   The candidates applying for the MBA program should be a graduate with at least 50% marks in graduation in case of General category and 45% marks in case of ST,SC,OBC category of Madhya Pradesh from any UGC/AICTE approved Indian University or from foreign university recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU)or Institute recognized by the concerned University as equivalent thereto.
  •   Qualifying and fulfilling the cutoff of SAGE university entrance exam.
