Educational Qualifications

To apply for the CAT Exam 2025, candidates must meet the following academic requirements:

•    Possess a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or institution.
•    Secure at least 50% marks (or equivalent CGPA) for General, EWS, and OBC-NCL categories.
•    For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, a minimum of 45% marks is required.
•    Only degrees awarded by universities recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India are considered valid.


Age Limit and Number of Attempts

•    There is no age limit for appearing in the CAT Exam 2025. Whether you are a fresh graduate or a working professional in your 30s or 40s, you are eligible.
•    There is also no restriction on the number of attempts. Aspirants can take the CAT multiple times as long as they meet the basic educational criteria.


Eligibility for Final-Year Students

Students in the final year of their bachelor’s program are also allowed to appear for the exam. However, they must:
